The bungalow at The Chestnuts Holiday Cottages was so cozy and welcoming with a lovely fireplace and a comfortable bed. It even had a fully equipped kitchen, perfect for cooking our own meals and a bathroom with a hairdryer. It felt like a home away from home.
Personally, I found the arcade/game room at this smoke-free cottage to be a bit underwhelming.

I absolutely adored the charming decorations throughout the holiday cottages. The cozy and traditional atmosphere made me feel right at home. The general areas, such as the communal garden and seating areas, were lovely and well-maintained. As a senior, I found the hotel's accessibility to be excellent, with easy access to all the facilities and amenities. The staff was always there to lend a hand and make sure I was comfortable.
I would have appreciated more activities or programs specifically catered towards senior guests.

Our stay at Chestnuts Holiday Cottages was absolutely delightful. The rural location provided us with a peaceful and serene atmosphere, surrounded by beautiful countryside and fascinating wildlife. Our cottage, Ivy Cottage, was not only exceptionally clean, but also modern and comfortable with complete privacy. We particularly loved the conservatory, offering stunning views of the open countryside, soothing bird songs, and even the sound of cows mooing nearby. The location between the villages of Croft and Burgh Le Marsh was ideal, as we could easily access places to eat, drink, and relax. Additionally, being able to get fresh eggs daily from the farm was a wonderful treat. The secure garden area was perfect for our dog to roam freely, adding to the overall enjoyment of our stay.
We did encounter a minor issue with our cottage, which required us to be moved to another property for one night. This meant going through the hassle of repacking everything and taking our belongings with us when we visited family, which wasn't ideal.

The only minor drawback was that the bed was a bit firm for my personal taste, but hey, you can't please everyone! However, this did not significantly hinder the overall experience.

I had a blast fishing at the surrounding water, playing table tennis, and enjoying the free WiFi. I even felt like a child again with the children's playground and outdoor tennis court. Plus, the garden and barbecue facilities added to the fun!
Oh, how I hated the struggle of sharing my experience with other guests in my party. So annoying.

Wow, the room we stayed in was amazing! It had a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, microwave, and oven. We could cook all our favorite meals here, just like at home. The private bathroom had a refreshing shower and a hairdryer, making getting ready a breeze. We loved the cozy fireplace and the DVD player, perfect for a movie night. Plus, the tea/coffee maker was a nice touch. We really felt at home in this bungalow!
I personally didn't care for the CD player in the bungalow. But hey, that's just my opinion.

We had a blast hiking and cycling in the beautiful countryside. The trails were rad and the views were sick! The bungalow itself was dope, with a private entrance and all the cool stuff we needed like a DVD player and an oven. Plus, the seating area was chill and we could even jam out with the CD player. It was totally lit!
The only thing we wished for was a banging party spot nearby. Don't get me wrong, the place was awesome for a peaceful getaway, but we were craving some wild nightlife.
